The Art Institute of Vancouver is pleased to announce that their school sponsored housing program is now located in the Melbourne Tower at 3433 Crowley Drive, Vancouver, BC, V5R 6C5. In the Joyce Collingwood neighborhood.

This new facility has many upgraded features:
- 2 bedroom apartments feature contemporary colour schemes, bright open kitchens with stove, frost-free refrigerator and dishwasher.
- Window blinds and wall to wall carpeting with colour coordinated vinyl flooring in kitchens and baths.
- Games room and modern common laundry facility equipped with Maytag washers and dryers equipped with current SmartCard technology, making laundry time easy and convenient..
- Students are welcome to use the fully equipped fitness room with cardio equipment, universal gym and a TV to make your workout more enjoyable.
- Evening security staff from 10 pm to 6 am daily.
- Computer controlled building access; the lobby entrance enterphone is video monitored and can be viewed through your TV; security cameras in all common areas (hallways, underground parking, entry, laundry, etc.)
The building was designed with the latest fire and life safety systems including sprinklers and smoke detectors within each unit. A resident manager lives on site and 24hour emergency maintenance response is also available. Vehicle parking, storage lockers and bicycle storage are provided in a well-lit and gated underground parking facility, with computer-controlled card access.
Each suite has either a patio or balcony and many units have panoramic views of the North Shore Mountains, the cities of Vancouver and Burnaby, and even Mount Baker. Located in the same block as Gaston Park in Collingwood Village, the Melbourne Tower is next door to Collingwood neighborhood House which offers many programs and services to the community. Collingwood village is also a short distance from Metrotown and Central Park in Burnaby as well as the Collingwood Public Library and an abundance of local shopping located along Kingsway just south of the area.
The Melbourne Tower is centrally located within Collingwood Village on Crowley Drive at Joyce Street and one block south of the Joyce Street SkyTrain station. Collingwood Village is directly north of Kingsway and west of Boundary Road in Vancouver. This new location is a convenient 20 minute skytrain ride to the Renfrew and Culinary Campuses, and a 25 minute skytrain - bus ride to the Burnaby campus .
