Student Facilities
The Art Institute of Phoenix campus

Established in 1995, The Art Institute of Phoenix has over 1,100 students enrolled in twelve different programs (Fall 2007) working towards their Associate of Applied Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree. The school consists of approximately 72,000 square feet of classroom, computer lab, studio, library, and office space.

Located in a contemporary four-story building in north-central Phoenix, The Art Institute of Phoenix enjoys scenic mountain views from many of its large picture windows. Classroom and computer laboratory facilities are well-maintained and overseen by a full-time technology staff. The Culinary Arts kitchens are spacious and filled with commercial equipment typically found in professional restaurant environments.

In addition to general-purpose classrooms, The Art Institute of Phoenix also provides many specialized resources to help enrich your educational experience:

Computer Labs
Students can build their computer skills in one of the many computer labs at the school.

Life Drawing Labs
Life Drawing Labs offer students the opportunity to sketch live models.

Video Studio
The Video Production Studio provides opportunities for students to create and produce video elements for use in their work.

Library
The library is filled with books, periodicals, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and on-line resources.

Art Gallery
A variety of Gallery exhibits are held through out the year. Student, faculty and alumni art shows provide opportunities to showcase works to the public.

Supply Store
The Supply Store offers a wide range of art supplies and culinary tools necessary for the successful student. Art Institute gear such as t-shirts, hats, portfolios and more are also available.

Kitchens
Baking & Pastry, Production, and A la Carte Kitchens are run by chef instructors and students who produce mouth-watering dishes on a daily basis. The A La Carte Kitchen also serves as The Gallery Café, the students’ dining lab.

Gallery Café
The Gallery Café is a restaurant open to the public for lunch Wednesday through Friday and reservations are suggested. The Gallery Café is also a working classroom where students are actively involved with every meal from menu planning, to food purchase, preparation and service to the customer.
