Admissions Decisions Admissions decisions are made by the admissions committee, comprised of members of The Art Institute of Atlanta-Decatur faculty. The committee determines whether an applicant has a reasonable chance to be successful in college based upon his or her academic record, essay, and how well the applicant's stated education and career goals relate to the chosen program of study. The committee may request additional information or require the applicant to meet with a department chair prior to making a final decision. The committee meets weekly; admissions decisions are usually communicated to the applicant within two weeks.
