Become Part of the Student Body
From the moment you are accepted, you become part of an environment that supports your efforts to reach your educational and career goals. At The Art Institute of Atlanta, you enjoy small classes, hands-on learning, and close relationships with faculty and staff. With a student-faculty ratio of approximately fifteen to one, you are assured of personal attention.

But it’s not all study, classes, and labs. Between classes, you can grab lunch or a snack at the deli, catch the newest gallery exhibit, or make a purchase at the supply store. There are plenty of social activities at The Art Institute—not to mention clubs and organizations oriented to your professional or personal interests.

Beyond the Campus
Beyond the college, you can enjoy everything a major metropolitan area can offer, from clubs and concerts to galleries and museums, Braves baseball games to rollerblading in Piedmont Park. The High Museum of Art and the Michael C. Carlos Museum are wonderful resources for students of the applied arts, as are the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art–Georgia, and the dozens of art galleries throughout the city. There are movies from Hollywood hits to underground art films to movies by new creative minds at Image Film and Video or Garden Hills Cinema. And there are terrific places to eat (about 8,000 at last count), from taquerias on Buford Highway to trendy cafés in Midtown and barbecue all over town.

Making Friends
You find that those who were strangers at orientation are soon friends to hang out with, laugh with, and share ideas with.
