Designers Statement
The concept of my design for the Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts Poster Design Competition is to promote art for what it is. There are infinite possibilities when creativity is unleashed onto any medium and this design promotes the spontaneity that creates great art. The imagination is unpredictable and works in ways that humanity can never truly understand; this design illustrates the spark that ignites the creativity in every artist. When a creative mind runs rampant, the results can speak for themselves.

I wish to enter the graphic design field to express my imagination’s rampancy and to help create the design standards for the future. I have been preparing for a career in the graphic design industry through a special, graphic design oriented, program through the Salem County Vocational School. The program, Graphic Design in Multimedia Technology (GMT), caters to all aspects of the graphics industry including offset lithography, digital video editing, corporate identity, and web page development. This program also allowed me to attend community college classes to supplement my understanding of graphic design. My background in design and my love for art make me the perfect candidate for a career in the graphics industry.
