Designers Statement
The concept behind my work is a side-by-side comparison of life with and without art. Corporate business is usually not a place for art, so I chose them to symbolize life without art. They are distraught and tired of the incessant monotony of their lives. The monochromatic color scheme helps depict how uninteresting life is for them.

On the right is a man who is painting; he symbolizes life with art. He’s obviously much more cheerful than the fellows on the left. The man is letting his imagination run wild and he’s expressing himself through the painting. The blob-like figure he’s painting brings him joy despite how simple and insignificant it may be.

I’d like to join the field of graphic design because I’ve loved art from a very young age and putting that passion in to a professional setting would be fantastic. Of all the art-related professions, I chose graphics design because I feel it would be the best for me to establish a successful career in.
