The International Culinary School at The Art Institutes International Minnesota’s Best Teen Chef 2008
Bailey Kimitch has the proud support of her family, friends and teachers; they were very excited when she won the Best Teen Chef 2008 local competition. For the past two years, Bailey has taken culinary classes at Hennepin Technical College through Minnesota’s Post Secondary Enrollment Options program. Bailey has had an interest in the culinary arts since third grade and experiences a sense of “inner calm” when working in the kitchen. Bailey continues to be inspired by her mom, who baked bread at home, and by Julia Child. After earning her degree, Bailey aspires to become a pastry chef and plans on further building her baking and pasty skills; she wants to experience all she can before making any final culinary career decisions.
