Anthony Craft
Pierce High School, Norfolk, Nebraska
The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Colorado’s Best Teen Chef 2008

The first place winner of The Art Institute of Colorado’s 2008 Best Teen Chef Competition is Anthony Craft. Anthony is from Norfolk, Nebraska and is a senior at Pierce High School. When he was 8-years old, Anthony was first introduced to cooking by his two grandmothers and mother. They diligently taught him how to cook and prepare traditional Danish and German dishes. Since then, Anthony has honed his skills and enjoys cooking dishes with various European flares and often prepares holiday meals for his family. Anthony receives much support and encouragement from his parents and family as he pursues a life-long dream in culinary arts.

When he is not busy cooking, Anthony is actively involved in his community and school. Through Pierce High School, he is a member of the Future Farmers of America, as well as 4-H and Masons of Nebraska. Also, he serves as a sound board technician for his church, First United Methodist in Norfolk. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys relaxing on his family farm where he hunts and spends time with his dog Copper.

Anthony will begin his culinary studies at the Art Institute of Colorado in October 2008, where he hopes to advance and solidify his skills. He has set his sights on one day opening a five star restaurant and catering service that will include dishes from various regions of the world.
